Ruslan Stefanov is the Director of CSD’s Economic Program. Since 2002 he has been the manager of the Economics of Corruption and Informal Economy Group at CSD, which comprises of 12 researchers and representatives of the public administration. He has participated as an expert in UNODC’s Expert Group for Anti-Corruption Coordination and on the mechanism for reviewing the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. He has also been a national expert on the Enforcement of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials and has participated in the implementation of GRECO mechanisms in Bulgaria. Mr Stefanov is contributor to the corruption in public services and informal economy section of CSD’s annual Corruption Assessment Report and numerous articles on the economics of anti-corruption in international and national media. He is currently the national correspondent for the first European Anti-Corruption Report and coordinates SELDI, an anti-corruption network of seventeen partner civil society organisations in the Western Balkans and Turkey. He holds an MBA in economics.
