Panel Discussion on Second Generation Indicators

As part of a workshop on second generation indicators and new analytical tools, ERCAS and the Hertie School of Governance hosted ANTICORRP researchers and Hertie School Executive Master of Public Management students for a round-table discussion featuring anti-corruption experts:

Francesca Recanatini (World Bank),Finn Heinrich (Transparency International), Professor Lucio Picci (University of Bologna), Professor Richard Rose (University of Strathclyde) and Professor Eric M. Uslaner (University of Maryland).

Panellists focused on several widely used but oft-criticized perception-based indicators: the World Bank’s Worldwide Governance Indicators, Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) and Global Corruption Barometer.
