Computer Assisted Content Analysis of the print press coverage of corruption in Slovakia
This research study addresses a simple but important research question: How did chosen newspapers in Slovakia select, cover and portray corruption-related issues and subjects? This is a particularly important topic for academic research because, on the one hand, corruption is arguably a long-term structural problem in Slovakia, and, on the other hand, Slovakia is an outlier – the correlation between free press and wide readership of daily press with low level of corruption, as established in the literature, is not so clear-cut.
